Flextronics Software Systems Joins Westell's Application Partner Program for MediaStation(TM) Solution

Flextronics Software Systems (FSS), formerly Hughes Software Systems, a global end-to-end communication solutions provider, today announced that Westell Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:WSTL) has chosen FSS as a valued partner in it's Application Partner Program for the MediaStation product line. Westell's Broadband MediaStations are interactive home gateway devices that enable service providers to bundle multiple content and communication services.

Westell is a leading provider of intelligent, carrier-class, broadband access products, gateways and conferencing services. As a part of this agreement, Westell will use FSS' feature rich, high performance and widely interoperable SIP Phone Toolkit product to develop next-generation telecommunication solutions for carriers, service providers and business enterprises worldwide.

Elaborating on the reasons for selecting FSS, Mr. Chris Shaver, Westell's vice president of engineering, said, "We were looking to partner with a technology expert who could power us to support next generation voice and video services over SIP. Westell's Broadband MediaStations offer service providers a platform that can be easily configured to deliver unique, customized services.
