Israeli, Lebanese Clash on Border

Lebanese and Israeli army troops exchanged fire along the border late Wednesday as Israel searched for Hezbollah bombs.
Military officials said Lebanese soldiers fired at the Israelis who retaliated after a warning, CNN said, Lebanese sources said the border situation was very tense.
Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz ordered the IDF Thursday to respond with force to any act of aggression against Israel along the border with Lebanon, the Jerusalem Post said.
We have no intention of escalating the situation along the border, but in cases of active aggression against IDF troops, we will need to respond, Peretz said.
