Friday's(R) Ready to Party with Big Bash the Night BEFORE the Big Game

CARROLLTON, Texas, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Two days after hosting the World's Largest Inauguration Party at more than 920 restaurants in 62 countries, T.G.I. Friday's restaurants (www.fridays.com) today announced plans for its next shindig: "The Game We Can't Name Eve," the January 31 nationwide bash the night before the big game:

"We are going to keep the party going year-round and will turn it up the night before the professional football championship in Tampa, even if we can't reference it by name," said Andrew Jordan, senior vice president of marketing for T.G.I. Friday's USA. "Just because we're not allowed to say 's - - - r b - - l' doesn't mean we can't throw an awesome party."

Friday's also decided to set its own Over/Under line at 44 points, with cool Friday's-style buttons commemorating both choices. All guests at the party will be winners the following week regardless of the score.

• If a guest chooses the Under button, he or she will be treated to a free cheesecake on each visit between Feb. 2 - Feb. 7, 2009.
• If they choose the Over button, they receive Signature Slushes, same rules, same timeframe.

"We heard the official over/under line was 47 but we thought we'd set our own. We like the number 44 because that's our birthday this year," continued Jordan. "It's not a real bet anyway and forgive me for being cheesy, but at Friday's everyone's a winner."

In addition, beginning at 4 pm local time at participating restaurants, the Game We Can't Name Eve will consist of the following:

• Special drink specials throughout the night at participating restaurants." In other words, in those restaurants where we can legally do it," said Jordan.
• Half-price appetizers with the purchase of an entree.
• Coupons for $5 off party platters redeemable the following day.

As always, the more than 600,000 members of Friday's Give Me More Stripes(TM) guest recognition program (www.givememorestripes.com) will receive all the perks and an extra one: a coupon for free Crispy Green Bean Fries, redeemable between Feb. 2 and Feb. 7, 2009.
