The Korat, known as the “Good Luck Cat” is one of the oldest stable breeds. The Korat has a heart shaped face, green eyes and a silvery blue coat and is one of only a few breeds that have only one color.

The first mention of the Korat was in a book from Thailand. The breed first appeared in America in the 1950s and then in Britain in 1972.

The Korat has short hair and a lean, small to medium build. They are surprisingly heavy for their size because of their low percentage of body fat. They are affectionate and intelligent and prefer the company of their own kind.
